(JERICHO, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) visited

Ms. Aloe’s fifth grade class at Cantiague Elementary School on Thursday, June 3 to thank them for their entries in the second annual Judy Jacobs Essay Contest.

During the contest, which was held in March during Women’s History Month, fifth- through eighth-grade students from the 16th Legislative District were invited to write about how the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Vice President Kamala Harris inspired them to pursue justice, and to highlight a woman who is a source of inspiration in their daily lives.

“Through this essay contest, we had the great privilege of learning about so many amazing women who inspire young people in our community to fearlessly pursue their dreams,” Legislator Drucker said. “I was delighted to recognize Ms. Aloe’s class for submitting such wonderful essays as part of our office’s tribute Judy Jacobs’ lifelong dedication to education and community service during Women’s History Month.”
