Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs and State Assemblyman Charles Lavine were the hosts of an emergency awareness training event on September 10th at the Jericho Library. The training session was led by the New York National Guard, working with experts from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services’ Office of Emergency Management and Office of Fire Prevention and Control. Over 125 residents attended and at the conclusion were very thankful for the important information they received. The second seminar is taking plce on Tuesday, September 16th from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Jericho Library. The second seminar will be led by the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management which will present a Power Point and provide the latest information about disaster preparedness in the County.
