(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) partnered with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free child car seat safety checks at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library on Wednesday, June 18. There, certified technicians applied their expertise toward ensuring that car seats are properly installed.
“As a proud grandfather myself, I know that when I am driving with my grandchildren, I have the privilege of transporting the most precious cargo imaginable – and it is essential for us to do everything that we can to keep them safe,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I am so thankful to the Nassau County Police Department, the Department of Traffic Safety and the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library for working with us to bring these resources to our community. If you haven’t done so recently, I urge you to get your car seats checked as soon as possible.”
