(MINEOLA and SEA CLIFF, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) and the full Nassau County Legislature welcomed Sea Cliff artist Jan Guga to the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building on Monday, Sept. 29 for a reception showcasing his photographic talents.
“Nassau County – A Work of Art” featured an array of Guga’s photographs of major Nassau County landmarks, which were selected from works that Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton previously bought from Guga. He also showcased various nature images from his portfolio – some of which were displayed in the vestibule of the Legislature prior to Monday’s meeting.
“Jan Guga is an outstanding photographer whose artistic eye helps him to capture the natural and historic beauty of Nassau County in all of his images,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I thank Jan for sharing his talents with us and appreciate that the Presiding Officer agreed to showcase his art outside the Legislative chambers.”
