(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) commemorated Columbus Day in Nassau County and across America by helping to beautify the Columbus statue in Mineola.
“My husband Richard and I celebrate and take great pride in our Italian heritage, and it was our pleasure to purchase the beautiful mums that decorated the Columbus statue outside the State Supreme Court building,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Thank you to Joseph A. Gallo and the Sons of Italy for completing the improvements to this monument.”
