(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) – Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) partnered with the Syosset Public Library to practice social distancing by hosting a “Digital Story Time,” a creative and innovative way to connect with children home from school due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Legislator Drucker read “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault, from his home in Plainview. Using the “Zoom” meeting platform, young readers and their families had the chance to ask questions about the book and virtually interact with Legislator Drucker.
“In these trying times, when parents are in search of fun and educational entertainment for their children, our local libraries are stepping up to help,” Legislator Drucker said. “I am honored to have partnered with the Syosset Public Library to provide children with this interactive experience.”
