Legislator Drucker, Hicksville Congress of Teachers, and Huntington Arts Council Present ‘Pajamas and Popcorn’ - A Virtual Family Storytime with Author Ama Karikari Yawson
WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview), the Hicksville Congress of Teachers, and the Huntington Arts Council invite young readers and their families to join them for “Pajamas & Popcorn,” a virtual family story time. Author Ama Karikari Yawson will read her children’s book “Sunne’s Gift,” which tells the story of a magical child who overcame being bullied because of the child’s naturally curly hair. Later, the child and child’s former bullies learn to embrace the beauty and power found in difference.
