Legislator Drucker and Community Partners Present ‘Pajamas and Popcorn’ - A Virtual Family Storytime with Author Ama Karikari Yawson
WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview), the Hicksville Congress of Teachers, Hicksville Public Library, Long Island Pajama Program, Sid Jacobson JCC and the Huntington Arts Council invite young readers and their families to join them for “Pajamas & Popcorn,” a virtual family story time. Author Ama Karikari Yawson will read her children’s book “Sunne’s Gift,” which tells the story of a magical child who overcame being bullied because of the child’s naturally curly hair Later, the child and child’s former bullies learn to embrace the beauty and power found in difference.
