(ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) proudly joined the Elmont school community on Saturday, Oct 3. for an exciting homecoming celebration at Elmont Memorial High School. The day’s festivities included a homecoming parade along Dutch Broadway, a halftime performance by the Elmont Memorial Marching Band and recognition of Spirit Week contests – all of which culminated with an exciting 26-20 homecoming victory over Mineola.
“All across our community, Elmont’s school spirit was on full and vibrant display, and the atmosphere was electric as we rallied to victory,” Legislator Solages said. “As both a Legislator and a small business owner in Elmont, I was incredibly proud to donate in support of Elmont’s students – who are my driving force to get the Elmont Community Center done – and be part of a celebration that builds camaraderie and brings us together in support of our students.”
