(HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) recently visited the Hauppauge headquarters of Island Harvest, where she met with the organization’s President and CEO, Randi Shubin Dresner. Following a tour, Legislator Russell and Dresner discussed opportunities for collaboration on initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Long Islanders. “Throughout my tenure as a North Hempstead Councilwoman and now a Legislator, Island Harvest has been a remarkable partner on grassroots efforts to combat food insecurity and feed the hungry in the communities we serve,” Legislator Russell said. “I was thankful for the opportunity to reconnect with Randy and continue our conversations about innovative new resources that we can bring to the communities of District 2.”
