(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) proudly attended the Nassau County Office of the Aging’s 50th annual Older Americans Month conference and luncheon at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale on Friday, May 15. Speakers during the event focused on a “Champion Your Health” theme while underscoring the importance of prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging.
“Older Americans Month recognizes how so many of our seniors helped to build the foundations of communities across Nassau County, and it is essential for us to support them and equip them to enjoy their golden years,” Legislator Russell said. “I appreciate the Office of the Aging for bringing our community together for an event that is both enjoyable and informative for all in attendance.”
