On the 88th Founder’s Day of the Jack and Jill of America, Inc.’s Jan. 24, 1938 launch, Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) had the honor of serving as a panelist for Jack and Jill Nassau’s “Poised for Power” luncheon – an event during which sixth, seventh and eighth graders gained critical knowledge on business, life skills, confidence-building, and more.
“For 88 impactful years, Jack and Jill of America has excelled as in fulfilling its mission of transforming African American communities, one child at a time,” Legislator Russell said. “It was a pleasure to be a part of this panel on such a momentous occasion, and I cherish every opportunity to give back and invest in the success of our future leaders!”
