(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) thanked the men and women of the Nassau County Police Department and the County’s Department of Public Works for their efforts to ensure that the Monday, Jan. 26 meeting of the full Legislature was not impeded by a major weekend snowstorm that dumped nearly a foot of snow, sleet and ice on the region.
“All of us are grateful to the police officers, first responders and DPW professionals who worked so tirelessly to keep our roads safe and our communities moving amidst challenging weather conditions,” Legislator Russell said. “Your service to our residents does not go unnoticed, and I would like to especially thank Officers Ciminetti, Rosello and Nil for helping me get to the Legislature safely to conduct the people’s business.”
