(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) proudly joined the Nassau County Corrections Officers Foundation at Bayview on the Water in Freeport on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for their annual cigar night fundraiser. “Each and every day, the men and women of COBA deliver a critical public safety service behind the walls of the Nassau County Correctional Facility. "By the nature of their work, they do so out of the public eye, and far too often, their labor is not fully appreciated,” Legislator Russell said. “I am proud to stand with COBA President Peter Lilli and the dedicated men and women of COBA, who work diligently and professionally to oversee, secure, and manage individuals in their custody while ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone entrusted to their care.”
