(WESTBURY, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) joined the Westbury Hills Civic Association, Senator Siela A. Bynoe, North Hempstead Councilman Robert Troiano, former Nassau County Third Precinct Commander Sean McCarthy, and residents on Saturday, May 9 for the community’s annual spring cleanup. Alongside dozens of volunteers, Legislator Russell rolled up her sleeves and helped plant flowers that will give the entrance to the community a bright splash of color throughout the summer months. “The Westbury Hills community has a tremendously strong sense of civic pride, and their annual spring cleanup is one of the ways in which it is most evident,” Legislator Russell said. “I had a great time getting my hands dirty with our neighbors as we worked together to make Westbury Hills more beautiful for the spring and summer months.”
