WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Viviana L. Russell (D – Westbury) is partnering with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and the County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum from 9 a.m. – noon on Wednesday, April 29.
Certified technicians will apply their expertise toward ensuring that car seats are properly installed and providing optimal protection. Residents with children who use car seats or booster seats are encouraged to have their car seats professionally checked.
"As a mother and a grandmother, ensuring the safety of our families, especially our youngest, is always close to my heart,” Legislator Russell said. “That is why I am proud to partner with the Nassau County Police Department and Nassau Coliseum to bring car seat safety checks to Uniondale. I encourage families to make an appointment and take advantage of this important, free service for added peace of mind.”
Appointments are required. Contact Legislator Russell’s office at 516-571-6202 or vrussell@nassaucountyny.gov for additional information and to make an appointment, or register online at http://bit.ly/4dn4ayl.
