(MINEOLA, N.Y.) To continue to honor Judy Jacobs’ legacy, Legislator Drucker (D - Plainview) will host the first annual Judy Jacobs Essay Award Ceremony for Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 25.
To commemorate Women’s History Month, Legislator Drucker invites students in grades 3 to 12 to participate in the essay writing contest to highlight the contributions of women currently in their lives or in history. To expand the reach of the contest, Legislator Drucker’s office is working with residents, teachers, and community leaders to encourage students to participate.
All essays should be submitted no later than March 20
Official Guidelines include:
- All students in grades 3 to 12 may participate
- Must reside within Legislative District 16
- Submissions should not exceed 500 words in length
- All submissions MUST be accompanied by a completed Participation Agreement
