Legislator Solages - March Against Anti Semitism


(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Thousands of Long Islanders, including religious leaders, elected officials and citizens, joined forces for the Long Island March Against Anti-Semitism on Sunday, Jan. 12. The march was one of the bi-county Task Force Against Anti-Semitism and Symbols of Hate’s inaugural initiatives.


“Faced with a shocking increase in anti-Semitic incidents, New Yorkers and Americans stand at a pivotal crossroads,” Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream), Ranking Member of the Legislature’s Minority Affairs Committee, said. “At the March Against Anti-Semitism, I was so proud to stand with thousands of Nassau County residents and spiritual leaders – people that are committed to doing the work to defeat hatred and create a society that embraces our differences and celebrates equality.”
