(QUEENS, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) joined the Indian Nurses Association of New York at P.S. 1150 in Queens on Saturday, May 17 as an honored guest at the organization’s Nurses Day celebration. Founded in 2004, INANY is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of uniting all professional nurses and nursing students of Indian origin/heritage residing in New York state in the pursuit of high standards in nursing practice, education, excellence, and scholarship.
“Every day, New York’s nurses provide essential care with great expertise, but they far too often do not receive the recognition and accolades they have earned,” Legislator Solages said. “Organizations like the Indian Nurses Association of New York do so much to promote professional development, and it was an honor to join with them at their annual Nurses Day celebration as we highlighted the vital work of these superb medical professionals.”
