WHAT – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is encouraging Nassau County residents to support the 21st annual Simon’s Valley Stream Jazz Festival, which is set for 4 – 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Valley Stream Bandshell located on Verona Place and East New York Avenue in Valley Stream. Last year, the festival, which was spearheaded through a partnership between Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, the Village, and Jazz Festival organizers, drew hundreds for a family-friendly night of music under the stars featuring an array of multicultural performances, food trucks, vendors and more.
“For more than two decades, the Simon family has brought us together for a one-of-a-kind multicultural performing arts celebration with something for everyone to enjoy,” Legislator Solages said. “I thank Assemblymember Michaelle Solages and the Village of Valley Stream for their continued partnership in nurturing this event, and I encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair to the bandshell on August 8 for a beautiful night of music under the stars!”
