(ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is pleased to report that, starting on Thursday, May 8, Nassau’s Department of Public Works (DPW) is set to begin repaving a nearly two-mile stretch of Linden Boulevard from the Queens border to Central Avenue/Exit 13 of the Southern State Parkway. This follows recently completed work on Elmont Road, which was repaved from Hempstead Turnpike south to Linden Boulevard.
“Now that critical roadwork on Elmont Road has been completed, I am glad to see that Nassau County and DPW are continuing to build upon that progress by resurfacing the entirety of Linden Boulevard,” Legislator Solages said. “This is a key part of ongoing beautification efforts that will make Elmont – the gateway to Nassau County – more beautiful and prosperous. Please continue to drive safely and plan your commute accordingly to avoid any disruptions as this important work is completed.”
