Legislator Carrié Solages Unveils, NCPD Unveil Eight New Auxiliary Police Vehicles for 5th Precinct

(WESTBURY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) visited the Nassau County Police Department’s Public Safety Center in Westbury on Wednesday, Feb. 10 to mark the arrival of eight new Auxiliary Police cars that will soon be deployed to the Fifth Precinct. Legislator Solages advocated for and secured $250,000 in capital plan funding to purchase the vehicles.

“Nassau County’s auxiliary police department is an indispensable component of the community-driven approach to law enforcement that made Nassau County the safest municipality of its size in the United States. That’s why it is so important to provide these volunteers with the resources they need so that they continue to excel,” Legislator Solages said. “I am very thankful that the collective work with law enforcement, my colleagues in the Legislature and County Executive Curran has yielded such a substantial investment in the Fifth Precinct Auxiliary.”
