[ARCHIVED] Legislator Bynoe Secures Capital Funds for Lakeview Public Library

(LAKEVIEW, NY) – Legislator Siela Bynoe, along with Nassau County secured capitol funds of $127,900.00 to be dedicated to the Lakeview Public Library for use in making important updates to even further help enhance the facility and foster an even better environment for learning.

The Lakeview Public Library Board issued a statement through Michael Alexander saying: “We’re excited that Legislator Bynoe has taken an interest in the initiatives of The Lakeview Public Library and dedicated the resources towards our efforts to support the community at large. The library’s expansion of the 2nd floor will provide increased services to our patrons through broader programming in the areas of computer literacy, college planning, and the arts and sciences. The funding provided through Legislator Bynoe’s office will outfit the space with the necessary furniture and equipment to make these plans a reality. This effort will help drive our young adults toward education and a brighter future. The parallel thinking of Legislator Bynoe toward that goal is tremendous and, as such, we are grateful for her foresight and efforts to support her constituents.”

Legislator Bynoe shared, “I believe libraries are a fundamental part of any community. If we are going to grow young leaders we must invest in our young people and environments that foster self-learning. Lakeview Library and its board are committed to creating an optimal environment for young people to not just learn but want to learn. I am proud that we were able to work to get the Lakeview Public Library these funds and I am excited to visit the library after the investment has been implemented.”
