WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) is partnering with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center from 9 a.m. – noon on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Certified technicians will apply their expertise toward ensuring that car seats are properly installed and providing optimal protection. Residents with children who use car seats or booster seats are encouraged to make an appointment to their car seats professionally checked.
“For those of us who have the privilege of transporting young children on a regular basis, nothing is more important than keeping them safe while they are in our care,” Legislator Davis said. “This event is a great opportunity to receive expert assistance that will ensure your car seat is installed properly and providing the maximum comfort and protection for your most precious cargo – all at no cost to your family.”
Appointments are required. Contact Legislator Davis’ office at 516-571-6201 or sdavis@nassaucountyny.gov for additional information and to make an appointment.
