(OCEANSIDE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined New York State Senator Siela A. Bynoe and hundreds at Temple Avodah on Thursday, May 14 for the Hispanic Brotherhood’s annual scholarship dinner.
Helen Dorado Allesi, President of the Long Beach Latino Civic Association, Amy Flores, Vice President/Community Manager for Chase Bank, Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips, Officer Michael Rollo and the Rockville Centre Police Benevolent Association, community volunteer Naginder Singh, and Cecilia St. John, Principal of the St. Agnes Cathedral School and the St. Agnes Service club, were honored during the event, which raises funds to provide financial assistance for deserving college students in the Rockville Centre School District,
“The Hispanic Brotherhood does so much to enrich the lives of seniors, educate young people, fight hunger, connect our neighbors with jobs, keep families in their homes and guide immigrants toward the pursuit of citizenship,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé, who was honored by the Hispanic Brotherhood last year, said. “Their work strengthens the fabric of our communities, and I stand with them in their pursuit of a better future and congratulate this year’s deserving honorees.”
