(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the Baldwin Civic Association to host their fourth annual Community Bike Rodeo and Parade at Baldwin Park on Saturday, May 16.
Featuring a group ride, a bike clinic for free safety checks, and more, the event is held each year to bring people together and promote cycling for all ages and ability levels. The event is presented with support from Transit Solutions, Let’s Move LI, Oceanside Cycle, Vision Long Island, the Town of Hempstead, and the Nassau County Police Department.
“As a bike rider myself, I love how the Baldwin community celebrates cycling and brings us together to learn more about this wonderful form of outdoor recreation,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to everyone who attended, to the Baldwin Civic Association, all of the sponsors for making this a great success, and the Nassau County Police Department’s First Precinct for keeping us safe during the event!”
“Whether you’re riding to work, for exercise, or for pleasure, promoting safe cycling in our community is essential, and Baldwin continues to lead the way thanks to this great event,” Legislator Davis said. “It was a pleasure to be a part of my first Bike Rodeo and Parade as a Legislator, and I look forward to many more in the years to come!”
