(ROCKVILLE CENTRE and HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) is partnering with Andrea Titone and the communities of District 1 to hold an Easter basket donation drive. The proceeds will be sorted into Easter baskets and distributed to children via the Rockville Centre Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the Agape Ministries Pantry in Hempstead.
“Easter is a deeply meaningful time for families throughout Nassau County – but the Easter Bunny can always use a helping hand in their efforts to put smiles on the faces of youngsters throughout our region,” Legislator Davis said. “I’m thrilled to be working with Andrea and all of our community partners across District 1 to spearhead this wonderful effort.”
Donors are encouraged to provide new, child-appropriate items such as pencils, notebooks, markers, coloring books, toys, stuffies, stickers, toothbrushes and individually wrapped snacks for the effort, and can also shop from an Amazon wish list for the drive (QR code included on flier). Contributions should be mailed or dropped off at 28 Rockaway Avenue, Rockville Centre, N.Y. 11570. The deadline for contributions is Sunday, March 29.
