(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) and Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) partnered with the Nassau County Department of Assessment to bring the Homeowner Exemption Liaison Program (HELP) to the Baldwin Public Library on Thursday, July 23. During HELP events, Department of Assessment staff personally help homeowners with completing applications and filing for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, and limited-income disability exemptions – all in one convenient visit.
“Affordability is the top concern that my constituents share with me, and it is especially important in this challenging climate to make it as simple as possible for homeowners to secure the tax relief they deserve and have earned,” Legislator Davis said. “I am always appreciative of the efforts that John McQuade and his team put forth to make these one-stop workshops available in communities across our County.”
The Baldwin HELP workshop concluded Legislator Davis’ series for 2026, which included events in Rockville Centre on June 23 and Hempstead Village on June 30.
