(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly supported the “Stronger Together: Community Prostate Cancer Awareness Forum & Brunch-eon” at Memorial Presbyterian Church (MPC) in Roosevelt on Saturday, July 11. Sponsored by the Uzo Felix Health Foundation (UFHF) in collaboration with the MPC Men’s League and hosted by Ms. Chioma Okoro, founder of UFHF, the program featured a panel discussion, survivor testimonials, audience engagement and on-site access to health resources.
“Ms. Okoro launched the UFHF in memory of her father to raise awareness of prostate cancer and promote early detection, and her ongoing advocacy about a critical health issue that directly affects Black and Brown communities are sorely needed and greatly appreciated,” Legislator Davis said. “Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this life-saving forum!”
