(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) secured the unanimous passage of a $66,350 Community Revitalization Project (CRP) for the Hempstead Union Free School District on Monday, July 27. The funds will be applied toward the purchase and installation of a new sound system and video wall, equipment, and related items for Hempstead High School’s gymnasium.
“Hempstead High School is grateful for Legislator Davis’ continued support and investment in our students and school community,” said Hempstead UFSD Superintendent Gary Rush. “The addition of a new sound system and video wall will significantly enhance our gymnasium, allowing us to host high-quality events, athletic programs, and community gatherings that bring people together. This upgrade reflects our commitment to providing our students and families with modern, engaging spaces that support school pride, unity, and excellence.”
