(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) partnered with the Nassau County Department of Assessment to bring the Homeowner Exemption Liaison Program (HELP) to the Rockville Centre Public Library on Wednesday, June 23. During HELP events, Department of Assessment staff personally assist homeowners with completing applications and filing for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, and limited-income disability exemptions – all in one convenient visit.
“Affordability is one of the most common concerns raised by my constituents, and I am committed to making it as simple as possible for homeowners to complete secure the tax relief they deserve and have earned,” Legislator Davis said. “I am always appreciative of the efforts that John McQuade and his team put forth to make these one-stop workshops available in communities across our County.”
Legislator Davis is sponsoring upcoming workshops at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead Village (in partnership with Legislators Viviana L. Russell and Olena Nicks) on Tuesday, June 30 and the Baldwin Public Library (in partnership with Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé) on Thursday, July 23. All HELP Workshops are from noon – 2 p.m.; guests are asked to arrive no later than one half-hour prior to the conclusion of the event to receive assistance.
