(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined Girl Scout Troop 847 on Friday, June 5 for a special bridging ceremony at Mr. B’s Playground in Rockville Centre. Alongside loved ones and the community, the young community leaders marked the culmination of the scouting year by rising in the ranks from Brownies (grades 2 and 3) and receiving their green vests as they became Juniors (grades 4 and 5).
“For more than 114 years, Girl Scout troops across America have played an integral role in equipping our next generation of community leaders to thrive,” Legislator Davis said. “Troop 847’s ceremony was an extension of that beautiful tradition, and it was a privilege to have been asked to take part in it and congratulate this group of girls!”
