Legislators Davis Congratulates Hempstead Chamber Honorees

(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined with the members and leaders of the New Greater Hempstead Chamber of Commerce at the Joysetta & Julius Pearse African American Museum of Nassau County for their annual installation ceremony on Wednesday, June 25.

Legislator Davis joined former New York Governor and Hempstead native David Paterson and New York State Senator Siela Bynoe, civic leaders and his colleagues in government in congratulating Chamber President Dr. LaShawn Lukes and fellow Chamber officers; members of the Board of Directors; Hempstead Chamber of Commerce Youth Scholarship winners; and recipients of special Hempstead Chamber of Commerce service awards.

“Each day, the New Greater Hempstead Chamber of Commerce demonstrates its unwavering commitment to its mission of advocating for small business owners and supporting the growth of the greater Hempstead community and creating new pathways to prosperity for so many entrepreneurs,” Legislator Davis said. “It continues to be a pleasure to work with Dr. LaShawn Lukes, her fellow officers and the entire Hempstead Chamber board to create new opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive and prosper in a community that we all hold close to our hearts.”
