WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) partnered with the Rockville Centre Public Library and Data-Struction to host his office’s third annual shredding event on Saturday, April 25. From 1 to 3 p.m., residents brought up to 10 black garbage bags or bankers’ boxes of unwanted papers and sensitive documents to the library parking lot for secure, environmentally friendly disposal.
During the event, Legislator Davis accepted donations of new and gently used clothing for babies in support of the BackYard Players & Friends’ “Love Nana” community service project benefitting children up to age 24 months.
“We were all thrilled that the rain didn’t deter our community and that so many residents took advantage of this opportunity to protect both their identities and the environment while getting a leg up on their spring cleaning,” Legislator Davis said. “I appreciate the Rockville Centre Library for once again graciously hosting us and thank everyone for making a donation to help deserving local families!”
