(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the leaders of the Rockville Centre Breast Cancer Coalition, the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce, and his colleagues in government on Wednesday, March 4 to celebrate the grand opening of the Breast Cancer Coalition’s new office at 82 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.
The Rockville Centre Breast Cancer Coalition is a non-profit outreach program for Southern Nassau residents who are living with a breast cancer diagnosis. Their mission is to provide support services and financial support community members who are navigating treatment and its impact on their lives. Since its 2017 launch, the Breast Cancer Coalition has expanded its outreach beyond Rockville Centre to include more than 40 towns in Southern Nassau County to help more than 100 women and their families.
“As the Rockville Centre Breast Cancer Coalition approaches a decade of serving our community, this new space will provide a welcoming hub for our neighbors who are seeking support during the most challenging moments of their lives,” Legislator Davis said. “I’m proud to support their efforts and congratulate this outstanding team of advocates for creating such a vital resource.”
