(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) secured the unanimous passage of a $150,000 Community Revitalization Project (CRP) grant on Monday, July 27 that will fund long-awaited upgrades and enhancements to the Incorporated Village of Hempstead’s Mirschel Park focused upon renovations and the purchase of fitness equipment and related items.
Since taking office in 2024, Legislator Davis has worked closely with state and village officials to secure essential resources for the revitalization of Mirschel Park, which serves a densely populated community in the vicinity of Terrace Avenue. The funding secured by Legislator Davis will further bolster plans for a $27-million, state-of-the-art park and community center – plans for which the Village was awarded $15 million by New York State at the end of 2025.
