(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined New York City first responders at Roosevelt High School on Saturday, May 9 to officiate the opening coin toss for the “Battle of the Badges” - a game contested between the New York Department of Correction and NYPD football teams. “While the Boldest and the Finest were competitors on the gridiron this Saturday, these outstanding men and women proudly serve the same city and share a common mission of protecting the public,” Legislator Davis said. “It was a privilege to welcome them to District 1 and toss the opening coin for this this highly anticipated exhibition match.”
