(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) hosted a food drive at Rockville Centre’s Associated Supermarket on Sunday, April 19 in support of Sharon’s Pantry’s hunger-fighting mission. Thanks to the generous support of community members, organizers were able to fill the trunk and backseat of an SUV with donations, which were loaded in by volunteers Jake Santos, Jack Moreback, Dillon Reilly and Matteo Mennella, pictured above.
“Far too often, food insecurity is a silent epidemic, and the need for support is growing rapidly in this increasingly difficult economic climate,” Legislator Davis said. “Sharon’s Pantry does so much to fight hunger and uplift the people they serve, and we are deeply appreciative of everyone who made a contribution in support of our shared community!”
