(BALDWIN) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) recently met at the Baldwin Scout House, where they spoke to Sanitation District 2 Commissioner John Cools about the site’s intergenerational significance in Baldwin and surrounding communities.

“This century-old cabin house has been utilized by Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops for many decades to bond and develop skills that will serve them well throughout their lives,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Legislator Davis and I are committed to doing all we can to identify opportunities for the County to support the enhancement of the Baldwin Scout House so it can be a resource for future generations.”

“Scouting has provided generations of Baldwin’s youth with opportunities to grow, develop leadership skills, and embrace a spirit of community service that uplifts us all,” Legislator Davis said. “The Baldwin Scout House is a storied venue where those experiences have been cultivated for generations, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves alongside Legislator Mulé and community stakeholders to keep this local treasure vibrant for many years to come.”
