(BALDWIN, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) and Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) addressed the Baldwin Civic Association on Thursday, April 9. During their monthly meeting – where Senator Siela A. Bynoe was the featured guest speaker – Legislators Davis and Mulé shared updates on Nassau County issues and answered resident questions. A Problem Oriented Policing (POP) officer also provided community safety updates.
This month’s Baldwin Civic Association meeting welcomed several residents from nearby Roosevelt who attended the monthly meeting at Legislator Davis’ recommendation because they are interested in launching a civic association.
“Nassau County’s civic associations are the eyes, ears and hearts of the communities they serve, and they offer a model of community engagement that be implemented and adapted to meet the unique needs of every neighborhood,” Legislator Davis said. “I am hopeful that this evening was the springboard for a new era of advocacy for the Roosevelt community.”
“The Baldwin Civic Association is a model for the type of grassroots leadership that makes a real impact in the daily lives of the residents they serve,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It was my pleasure to join Legislator Davis and Senator Bynoe in updating the residents of Baldwin about the issues that matter most to them.”
