(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) partnered with the Nassau County Department of Assessment to bring the Homeowner Exemption Liaison Program (HELP) to the Baldwin Library on Tuesday, Aug. 19. During HELP events, Department of Assessment staff personally help homeowners with filing for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, and limited-income disability exemptions.
“Affordability is one of the most common concerns raised by my constituents, and I am committed to ensuring that they receive the tax relief they deserve and pay not a penny more than their fair share of taxes,” Legislator Davis said. “I appreciate the efforts that John McQuade and his team put forth to make this service available in communities across our County.”
“It is always a pleasure to host programs that help homeowners reduce their taxes, and the Department of Assessment makes this process easier and more convenient through the H.E.L.P. initiative,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I thank John McQuade and his team for hosting this workshop and providing their expertise to my constituents in Baldwin.”
