(ROCKVILLE CENTRE and MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) congratulated Rockville Centre Firefighters Paul O’Brien, Thomas Forman, and Evan Lynch, each of whom were honored at the Nassau County Fire Commission’s Firematic Awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 14. Each of the firefighters were presented with the Class III Bronze award for rescuing an unconscious burn victim from an apartment building fire without a hose line on May 8, 2025.
“For generations, the men and women of Nassau County’s local fire departments have stepped up to help their neighbors and rush toward danger at a moment’s notice, and the actions of Firefighters Paul O’Brien, Thomas Forman and Evan Lynch embody the spirit that sustain this proud tradition,” Legislator Davis said. “It gives me tremendous comfort knowing that we have such dedicated individuals protecting our homes and our community, and I congratulate these brave firefighters and all of the honorees for their unwavering commitment to selfless service.”
