(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) was sworn for his second term representing the residents of the First Legislative District during inaugural ceremonies held at Uniondale’s Cradle of Aviation Museum on Thursday, Jan. 8. The newly reapportioned District 1 spans the Villages of Rockville Centre and Hempstead Village and the hamlets of Roosevelt, South Hempstead and North Baldwin.
With his family, friends and supporters looking on, Legislator Davis and his Minority Caucus colleagues were sworn in by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. “During my first two years in office, I embraced the idea of putting people before politics. As a Legislator, I represent every person in the district, irrespective of party affiliation,” Legislator Davis said. “It was truly humbling to once again receive the oath of office in the presence of my family, friends and loved ones, and I am ready to continue my community-first advocacy for the communities of District 1.”
