Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé Sworn in for Fifth Term in Nassau County Legislature

(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) was sworn for her fifth term in the Nassau County Legislature during inaugural ceremonies held at Uniondale’s Cradle of Aviation Museum on Thursday, Jan. 8. District 6 encompasses the entirety of Freeport and significant portions of Baldwin and Oceanside.

With family, friends and supporters looking on, Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé and her Democratic Caucus colleagues were sworn in by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé also had the privilege of leading the hundreds in attendance in singing the National Anthem at the start of the ceremony.

“I am deeply humbled that the communities of District 6 have once again entrusted me with the privilege of representing them, and I will do everything in my power to make government work better and more equitably for the people of Nassau County,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Working together, I know that we will accomplish great things in 2026, and I cannot wait to continue this journey of service alongside you!”
