WHAT – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) is teaming up with New York State Senator Siela A. Bynoe, New York State Assembly Members Judy Griffin and Noah Burroughs, and Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy to host her office’s second annual fall Community Volunteer Fair at the Freeport Recreation Center on Thursday, Nov. 5. The event is designed to help participants connect with local organizations, explore service opportunities, and learn all of the ways they can make a positive impact in their community.
“Nonprofit organizations create valuable opportunities for giving back and connect our communities with resources that improve people’s lives,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I was so happy to see how our neighbors embraced the Volunteer Fair during last year’s inaugural run, and I am excited to be working with our State and Village partners to make this year’s event even bigger, better and more impactful.”
Organizations seeking volunteers can register for a table at the fair by calling or emailing Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé’s office at 516-571-6206 or dmule@nassaucountyny.gov.
