Legislators Mulé & Davis Help Residents to Securely Discard Medication, Documents & Electronics

Mule - Sani 2 - Fall 2026

(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly co-sponsored Sanitary District No. 2’s autumn Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding, and E-Cycling drop-off day on Saturday, Sept. 12, during which Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents within Sani 2’s service area had the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data at the District’s Baldwin garage.

The event was presented with key support from the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union, the Nassau County Police Department, the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse, and other local elected officials.

“Sani 2’s seasonal disposal events make it easy to safely part ways with unwanted documents, medications and e-waste that is cluttering your home,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Legislator Davis and I are always proud to support an event that protects the environment, preserves your privacy, and helps keep prescription drugs from ending up where they do not belong.”
