FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) celebrated with the graduates of the Woodward Children’s Center in Freeport on Thursday, June 25.
Since opening its doors in 1957 under the direction of Freeporter Gertrude Berman, Woodward has been providing inclusive and supportive educational services for students with special needs so that each graduate is equipped with “the social and emotional skills necessary to face life’s challenges” and a “cutting edge education to meet the demands of the future.”
“Celebrating with the graduates of the Woodward Children’s Center is one of the most meaningful experiences possible,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “What we witness each year is an outcome powered by determined students, supportive families, and outstanding educators, and I salute them all for all they have accomplished leading up to this moment!”
