(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) recently visited Long Island Cares – the Harry Chapin Food Bank’s new Freeport pantry, located at 23 E. Sunrise Highway, which includes expanded spaces for delivering services such as Veteran Tuesdays and referrals to other needed resources.
“During a very informative visit, I learned about how Long Island Cares’ Freeport space has been optimized to serve clients at one of their busiest locations on the Island,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to Freeport Program Director Reyna Felix and your entire team for all you do to serve your clients with dignity and compassion – as we continue to remember Harry Chapin’s legacy, let’s honor his vision by doing our part to care for our neighbors.”
