(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) visited J.W. Dodd Middle School’s Career Day on Friday, March 27, where she shared her life experiences as a guest presenter during the event. Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé and her Legislative Aide, Alex Dixon, spoke to seventh- and eighth graders about their responsibilities; explained how their lives led them to this moment, and the obstacles and challenges they overcame to reach her goals.
“My first involvement with public service began with the Freeport PTA and the Freeport School Board, so it is always tremendously special to speak with the young people who will lead us to a better future,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to Ms. Kat Salisbury for helping to guide my conversation, Alex for co-presenting with me, and everyone J.W. Dodd Middle School for welcoming us. Most of all, thank you to all of the students for asking so many insightful questions during the time we spent together!”
