Legislator Mulé Salutes Outstanding Freeport HS Scholars

(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) had the high honor of joining in a celebration of outstanding Freeport High School students. The honorees included:

Freeport High School D.E.E.P. Award Recipients

  • Alyssa Donnelly, Class of 2026
  • Oluwafunmilayo Fajolu, Class of 2026

The Nassau County D.E.E.P. Award to upcoming Freeport High School graduates Sejla Omeragic and Isaiah Flynn. The D.E.E.P. award is presented to students who demonstrate dedication to community service; enthusiasm for education; excellence in character; and participation in extracurricular activities. 

Freeport High School Excellence in Music Award Recipients

  • Daniel Martinez, Class of 2026
  • Mya Smith, Class of 2027

Freeport High School Excellence in Sport Award Recipients

  • Ava Smith, Class of 2026
  • Sabrina Ligonde, Class of 2027

“The outstanding achievements of Freeport High School students demonstrate the importance of a commitment to comprehensive public education initiatives, and it is heartening to see our young people demonstrating leadership, embracing their talents, and committing to making the world a better place,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It was an honor to congratulate these accomplished young people for all they have already done – I wish them, and all of the graduates, continued success in their future endeavors!”
